Pictropolis

summary

Pictropolis was a start-up founded by a photographer struggling to manage his business efficiently and frustrated by the process of storing, organizing, and sharing tens of thousands of photos. The goals of the project were to create a cloud service to easily manage large photo libraries and help professional photographers run their studios more effectively with things like scheduling shoots and invoicing.

There were very few competitors at the time that had an elegant solution. So the team set out to build something in their spare time to address the biggest pain points.

We built a simple marketing site to introduce the brand and to capture potential users that we could test later.

User Testing

Our team planned and moderated several test sessions to evaluate usability and to get feedback on usability and the value proposition. The app was received well and our hypotheses about the gap in the market were proven true with the photographers we tested.
